About Us

OUR

Background

The Ministry of Finance was formed on 30th April 2014 by a presidential decree. The Ministry of Finance was established to implement the Public Financial Management (PFM) system so that it can better co-ordinate with other Ministries in ensure all government revenues and expenditures are controlled and managed through a Treasury Single Account (TSA) for better service delivery to the public.

Mandate

The Ministry of Finance, acting under the authority of the Jubbaland State of Somalia (Council of Ministers), is responsible for the overall financial management of the Jubbaland State of Somalia Budget and other financial affairs and for the budgets under the responsibility of the regions, which together form the Jubbaland State of Somalia Consolidated Budget.
